Sea Glass Cottage
Sea Glass Cottage overlooks the Gulf of
Honduras just 100 yards up the coast
from the Coral House Inn in Punta Gorda
in southern Belize. This is the last house
on Front Street. The location being one
block off Main Street, with no through
traffic, makes this a very quiet spot for
your rest and relaxation. There is a rustic
set of stairs close by to get down to the
sea. At the seashore you will find many
interesting examples of the sea glass
where this cottage gets its name.
This cottage existed for several years in
disrepair before a friend bought it and
asked us to remodel it. High quality and
attention to detail were the goals during
the remodeling process. We believe
these goals were accomplished beautifully.
The cottage has one bedroom with a
queen size bed, large closet and air
conditioning. The living room includes a
futon couch which opens into a nice full
size bed. Cable television with multiple
channels is also available. This cottage is
best suited for a maximum of four people.
The fully equipped kitchen and large
bathroom, (including a shower/bathtub),
make this cottage especially nice for
longer term visits to Punta Gorda. The
kitchen allows you to have your morning
coffee/tea at your convenience, along with
your favorite breakfast. Shop at the local
stores and outdoor market for interesting
ingredients for your private lunches and
dinners.
The hammocks and table and chairs
under the thatch structure are the perfect
place to relax in the sea breeze while
watching the birds, boats and
sunrises/sunsets.
While staying at the Sea Glass Cottage,
you are also able to take advantage of
the pool, bar, wireless internet and
bicycles at the Coral House Inn free of
charge. Breakfasts at the Coral House
are an additional cost.
